Koda's journey: From Rescue to Mascot
Laws4Paws Rescue believes every dog deserves a second chance, and Koda's story perfectly embodies this philosophy. This energetic heeler mix was facing euthanasia at a shelter due to a bite history. We saw beyond his past, recognizing his potential as a working dog. Our team dedicated time and expertise to understand Koda's unique needs, allowing him to thrive and embrace his natural instincts.
Today, Koda is living his best life in Boulder, Colorado, where he has become the beloved mascot of a local nursing home. His daily "job" involves checking on residents, offering love, and demonstrating the profound responsibility and joy a loving pet can bring. From nearly facing death to becoming a cherished community member, Koda's transformation fills us with immense pride. He proves that with understanding and dedication, there are no bad dogs, only misunderstood ones.

Brohdi and Sheila: A perfect match
Brohdi, a magnificent Ridgeback mix, spent over a year with Laws4Paws Rescue. As a large breed originally bred for hunting, Brohdi presented unique challenges and was not a dog for everyone. He could be standoffish with many people, and we knew finding his perfect match would require patience and a special connection.
We'll never forget the day Sheila arrived. Despite Brohdi's usual reserve, he went straight to her, confidently jumped into her back seat of her pick up, and gave us a look that clearly said "goodbye." It was an instant bond, a true testament to finding that "needle in a haystack" for our animals. Today, Sheila and Brohdi are living their best life together, proving that the right person can unlock a dog's true spirit, no matter how long it takes.
